Here you can download a beta version of the Nextens software.

Please notice that this is a first beta release. Although the system is fairly stable, it is likely to contain bugs, and some issues have not been addressed yet. For the time being, bugs, comments, or questions may be send to Erwin Marsi. As the license states: this software is provided "as is". This means that, although we will try our best, we can not guarantee an adequate and in time respons.

Step 1: Registration

Some of the software included in the Nextens software distribution, in particular Timbl and Mbt, has a license that requires the user to register. In addition, we like to have some idea of where and by whom the Nextens system is used. However, we will not bother you with spam mail, we will not provide your personal data to any third party, and in general will not use it for any other purpose than for our own information.

Step 2: Read the Timbl software license

Below is the license for the Timbl software, which is included in the Nextens software distribution. By downloading the Nextens system, you agree to this license (as far as Timbl is concerned). Notice that according to point 4, you are not allowed to redistribute Timbl. This implies that you cannot redistribute the Nextens system as long as it contains Timbl.

TIMBL SOFTWARE LICENSE

To the extent permitted under the applicable law, Licensers are licensing the Software "AS IS", with no express or implied warranties of any kind, including, but not limited to, any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose or warranties against infringement of any proprietary rights of a third party and will not be liable to you for any consequential, incidental, or special damages or for any claim by any third party.
  6. Under this license, the copyright for the Software remains the joint property of the ILK Research Group at Tilburg University, and the CNTS Research Group at the University of Antwerp.
